Taxiwise continues to work hard to promote the message of taxi safety this festive season.

We remain committed to fight the cause in order to highlight the potential dangers faced by revellers who use unlicensed taxis to travel home. Through our website and quarterly newsletter we hope to convey the message of ‘be taxiwise’ to thousands of passengers across the country.

By stressing the importance of using only registered Hackney Carriages or licensed private hire vehicles, Taxiwise works closely with local authorities and the police to raise public awareness and offer safety advice. This is particularly relevant as we head towards Christmas and the New Year with the subsequent increase in drinking and the move towards late night travelling.

This year, we continue to campaign on a national front by working alongside ‘The One Show’ and ITV’s ‘Tonight with Trevor McDonald’. These programmes, to be aired over the coming weeks, highlight the dangers posed by unlicensed cabs and place emphasis on the extra care party goers should take when returning home.
